Frequently Asked Questions
If you have any questions about the claims process or the lodgement of your claim, we've addressed some of the most frequently asked questions below.
How do I lodge a Claim?
If you need to lodge a claim, your Account Manager or Claims Consultant is here to help. They will provide the relevant claim forms, explain the claims process, and support you through each step.
What happens once I lodge my claim?
Your Account Manager or Claims Consultant will lodge the claim with the relevant insurer on your behalf.
The insurer will then assess the claim against the information provided, the policy terms and conditions, and the coverage available under the policy. Following this assessment, the insurer will determine whether the claim is covered and if any additional information is required to progress the claim.
We will keep you informed throughout the claims process and provide regular updates on the progress of your claim, typically every 20 business days, or sooner if there are any significant developments requiring attention.
How long will it take to process my claim?
Every claim is unique, and our goal is to have your claim processed as quickly and efficiently as possible. While some claims can be resolved within a relatively short timeframe, more complex claims may require additional assessment by the insurer and can take longer to process.
Your Account Manager or Claims Consultant will keep you informed throughout the process and provide regular updates on the progress of your claim.
Will an excess apply?
An excess is the amount you may be required to contribute towards a claim under your insurance policy. The excess payable will depend on the type of claim being made and the terms and conditions of your policy.
Your Account Manager or Claims Consultant will advise whether an excess applies to your claim and, if so, the amount that applies.
What information is usually required to lodge a claim?
Depending on the nature of your claim, you may be required to provide additional information. In most cases, however, we will ask you to provide the following:
-
Your policy number
-
Standard identification details
-
The name of the insured shown on the policy
-
A detailed description of the incident
-
The date of the loss and the location where it occurred
-
Details of any other parties involved (if applicable)
Providing as much information as possible will help us process your claim efficiently and minimise delays.
What If I don’t know the policy number?
If you don't have your policy number available when completing your Claim Notification Form, that's okay.
Please provide the policyholder's name, along with as much additional information as possible, so we can accurately identify your policy and process your claim efficiently.
